Three Big Transfer Stories

Yesterday was a busy day on the transfer front. Leroy Sane finally completed his long awaited move from Manchester City to Bayern Munich.

With the fee agreed at £45m, City get something for a player with only one year left on his contract and who had made it clear he was not going to resign. Sane will wear the number 10 at Munich, indicating he will get a permanent starting spot a the Allianz Arena. He also pointed out that he has a good working relationship with Bayern coach Hansi Flick from their time together at the under-21’s National side. In any event the 8 times champions have further strengthened their side.


It looks like 17 year old Jude Bellingham is close to completing a move from Birmingham City to Borussia Dortmund. Despite alleged interest from Manchester Utd the young star is expected to follow in the footsteps of Jaydon Sancho and develop his career and reputation by getting regular football at Signal Iduna Park.


The final story relates to a transfer that took place last year. Eintracht Frankfurt have filed a complaint with UEFA over West Ham Utd failing to meet the instalment payments agreed when Sebastian Haller moved to London in 2019.


£5m is outstanding since May, with a only half the transfer fee of £50m having been paid so far.
